Greetings from the Rector

Welcome to St. Peter's Church, Bennington, Vermont. I am the 26th rector and have joined in partnership with the wardens, Vestry and congregation to reach out visibly to the wider community, especially youth.

Before arriving in Bennington in August of 2005, I served in parishes and schools in the New York and Philadelphia areas for over 20 years. I am a native of Lancaster, PA, and a 1983 graduate of the General Seminary in New York City.

If you are looking for a spiritual home, or a place to meet friends who are also on a spiritual journey and who want to learn more about Christianity, and the Episcopal tradition in particular, please visit us on Sundays and during the week. On Sundays, The Holy Eucharist is offered at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. There is Bible study and discussion of the Sunday lectionary from 9:05 to 9:50 on Sundays. “Sundays at 5,” a worship service for people of all ages and traditions, is offered at 5 PM on Sundays.

As we follow our mission statement, “God is calling the community of St. Peter's Parish to live, worship and serve according to Christ's word and example.” We invite you to be part of this wide welcome every day at St. Peter's Church. Let us hear from you!
