The Christmas Tea

The center table at the Christmas Tea

Amidst all the preparations for the upcoming Christmas season there's a wonderful event at Saint Peter's Church. The Annual Christmas Tea is held on a Saturday in early December from 3:00 to 5:30 pm in the Parish Hall.

A tradition for over 50 years, the Christmas Tea is St. Peter’s special offering to Bennington and to the surrounding communities as a beautiful way to begin the holiday season. The Parish Hall is decorated with trees, wreaths, candles, and poinsettias, creating a rich, holiday setting for delicious refreshments of sweets, small sandwiches, tea and coffee. Tickets for the Tea are available several weeks before the event.

Guests at the Christmas Tea are invited to shop for special gift items that are displayed in the Crafts Boutique in the Guild Room. Handmade items include Christmas tree ornaments, children's toys, hand-knitted scarves and mittens, and assorted seasonal decorations.

The pantry shelf at the tea provides fudge, homemade jams and jellies, breads, cookies, and other holiday treats.
